16 sailors enjoyed a better than forecast force 2-3 Southerly for the first start. The fleet had sailors from far and near with Paul Moreton (Llandudno SC) and Steve Mitchell (Porthpean SC) the epic journeymen.

The fleet started cleanly and Matt Biggs led around the windward mark followed by Tim Hand with Paul Undrell in touch after a good start followed by Paul Moreton in 4th.
By the end of the first lap Tim Hand judged the downwind shifts well to take the lead with Matt Biggs a few lengths behind.
Tim held on in moderating breeze to win, Matt Biggs close behind but these two had opened a leg on third boat Paul Moreton and Tom Chadfield in fourth. Paul Undrell held local sailor Keith Johnson off for fifth place.
After lunch all set sail in a dwindling force 2. Tim and Matt got the best start sailing into the port bank.
Matt broke away by the end of the first lap with Tim second leading a small group led by Paul Moreton.
Through the second lap Tim steadily gained on Matt, and these two were well clear of Paul Undrell who broke through into third in ever more testing light wind.
At the shortened course finish, Tim snatched first place from Matt with Paul Undrell holding the fleet off for third.
The breeze had abated to force 1 for the final race.
After a similar start Paul Moreton pulled through to lead Tim with David Scott in third.
The testing light wind beat on lap 2 resulted in many position changes with Tim established a clear lead over Matt who regained second place. Paul Moreton took third and David Scott held on for fourth.
Overall Tim Hand 1st, Matt Biggs second, Paul Moreton third. Keith Johnson first mark 1 in 6th. Full results on the Supernova Class Website: http://www.supernovadinghy.org/ Report by Tony Bleasdale
