Optimal Scottish Supernova Cup

Optimal Scottish Supernova Cup - 2

Port Edgar Yacht Club

Port Edgar Yacht Club is located at South Queensferry on the River Forth by the iconic Forth Bridges and within easy reach of most people in the Central Belt of Scotland. The club has an active yacht and dinghy racing membership (total of 63 days dinghy racing scheduled this year) but also offers activities for beginners and cruisers to encourage more people to get out in boats. Our lovely new clubhouse was completed in 2021 and offers a cosy haven to relax in after sailing.

The Supernova fleet grew from one Giles Mk.1 boat in the early 2000s to become the most popular single-handed dinghy in the club with the later Hartley Mk.2e boats proving increasingly popular.

PEYC are therefore delighted to host another Optimal Scottish Supernova Cup event on Saturday 11th July 2026. The racing will generally start and be centred around Queensferry Bay, between the famous rail and road bridge landmarks which offers good refuge when the wind and/or tide is fierce!

The club looks forwarding to welcoming our fellow Scottish Supernova enthusiasts but would also love to see some visitors from abroad. It is not too far to travel from the North of England and offers a great chance to make a weekend of it by visiting the nearby tourist attractions.

PEYC is located within the Port Edgar Marina grounds:
