The coaching will be led by Alistair Goodwin, an RYA class coach AND the 2021 Supernova National Champion.

The coaching will be aimed at improving techniques in preparation for the Inland Championship and generally competing on inland waters. The coaching session is free to all class members.

Participants are requested to use the provided sanitising stations within the facilities and to maintain one metre social distancing as a minimum at all times. Alistair's Outline Itinerary (details to be finalised to suit the weather on the day):

Meet at 09:30 rigged (sails down but otherwise ready and no need to be changed) for the first briefing session.

We will aim to hit the water before 10:30 and have a morning session based around skills that are relevant to inland sailing such as spotting shifts and boat speed in flat water.

Around 12:30 to 13:00 We will come in to have a break for lunch, then re-brief for the afternoon session.

Skills based training in the afternoon session, such as tacking/gybing and some slow speed (pre-start) manoeuvring.

Then finish with some racing so everyone gets a chance to put everything back together around a course.

Final video debrief ashore.

The days coaching should be complete by around 17:00.

Please note: bring your own food and refreshments for the day; bar services may be available on Friday evening onwards.
