Hi,

Can someone explain how a tie is broken in the scoring system?

I always thought in the event of a tie, the person who beat
the other in the last race wins overall.

Or is it who has the lower total of discards?

In both cases, Sam beats Matt, so I don't understand how Matt won?

They also had three wins each so if someone could explain
how the system made Matt the winner, that would be great.

I am not questioning in any way the validity of the result,
I just want to know how the scoring system works!

Hi Richard, my understanding is that a tie is broken by contract. Number of first places, then second places etc. So they both had 3 firsts but Matt had 3 seconds to Sams 2 seconds, so Matt wins.
