I am new to Supernova Sailing having bought my boat a couple of months ago. I have just joined the association and registered tonight on the forum.
I am having a problem achieving the prescibed measurment top of mast to transom. Initially getting something like 6.36 m with the shroud pins 6 holkes down (as the boat was when I got it). Shrouds tension about 120 lbs.
Recently I moved the mast step forward by one hole position and it is now one position from the front. At the same time I moved the shroud pins to the fifth hole down as recommended. Now the measurment is about 6.4 metres which I suspect makes the mast too upright. This is with about 160 lbs shroud tension.
Do I need to go back to the sixth hole?
I have had my spreaders moved up about 12 mm due to the spreaders being loose and the original pop rivet holes having worn too big. I doubt that this makes much differnce, am I correct?
I weigh about 85 kgs.
