...Llangorse 1st & 2nd October 2005

With an overcast day on Saturday 1st October, 16 Supernovas arrived at Llangorse Sailing Club in the Brecon Beacons for a two day event. Six races were held over the two days with I race discarded from the result. The races were shared with the Taser fleet from home and away. With gusting Westerly winds reaching force 4 to 7 it made the gybe marks very interesting. The Officer of the Day, Nick Taylor, of Llangorse put three back to back races on Saturday and Adrian Hollier came 1st in race one and two with Steve Hawley gaining the win in race three. Saturday night saw refreshments at the Red Lion Llangorse with both fleets attending.

Sunday's weather was quite a contrast to Saturday. There was little to no wind for the first race but Adrian Hollier still managed to achieve his hatrick . The breeze built up for the remaining races, again Westerly force 3 to 4. Adrian struck gold again and Jeff Mountain took the honours in the final race of the weekend. Prize giving was conducted by our Commodore Mr Rob Dangerfield who thanked everyone for attending and those organising. A date was arranged for next years calendar.
