On an unseasonably warm and sunny day in October with breezes blowing NE 2-4 there was a record turn out at Bartley of 31 boats.

In the first race the fleet got away cleanly sailing the full length of the lake with Richard Pakes (Haversham), Steve Broom (Spinnaker) and Andy Flitcroft (Bolton) taking a good lead and retaining their places to the finish with Jeremy Shinton (Bartley) hot on their heels in Mike Gibsons' boat.

The second race proved to be disastrous for some 10 boats who established an early lead away from the fleet, but who then all rounded the leeward mark the wrong way! They were protested and subsequently disqualified. The winning places in the second race went to 1st Chris Hawley (Severn) , 2nd Jeremy Shinton (Bartley) , 3rd Geoff Mountain (Cotswold) , 4th Adrian Sherrat (Haversham) .

The final race found the wind abating as the race progressed with the final positions being 1st Andy Flitcroft, 2nd Richard Pakes, 3rd Steve Broom.
