I’m taking booking now for those wishing to camp/ Motorhome, or simply park up your car away from a public car park. We are limited to 20 camping units. Please email me @ [email protected]. Also if anyone is looking for suggestions for places to stay please also feel free to get in touch.

Hi John,

Looking forward to this event - always has been a good event at Exe!

Q:
I may need to just park my car at the rugby ground - if Exmouth is a busy as Cornwall already is.
(My BnB hotel booked on seafront, as before, has only on-street parking).

Would that be OK?
Cost?

We're already pretty much overrun down here; not at all pleasant going from "lock-down" to bursting, almost overnight.
Seems to be even worse than last year?

Hi Simon, good to hear your coming. Yes it will be fine for you to park up your car at the rugby club for the duration. They are charging £5 per 24hrs, so are cheaper than the local authority car parks. I am going to send out BACS payment details for camping or car parking in the next few days so I will check that I have your email address.

Many thanks John.

Hoping I can park outside BnB day 1 and leave it there (worked before), but good to have a fall back plan.

Perhaps I'm being paranoid, but since we've been "discovered" often nowhere to park here at all, free, paying, or otherwise!

We are currently at 38 entries with just over 2 weeks left until the Class Sea Championship at Exe SC! There are also just 4 camping spaces left at the nearby rugby club for anyone with a tent or a van.
The deadline for online entry has been extended to the 17th May after which no further entries will be accepted, so please spread the word among your fellow Club Supernova sailors and let’s see if we can get that number closer to 40!

We’re pleased to announce that provided the next stage of lockdown easing goes ahead as planned on the 17th May, the guests of competitors will also be very welcome at the SC, and the bar and restaurant will be open, as will the changing rooms and showers with Covid secure arrangements in place.

Friday Sea Training day
The training event on Friday will start at 10:30 with some briefs on shore. Coaches Alistair Goodwin and Alex Horlock will be concentrating on Gate Starts and sailing in waves. Hot homemade pasties will be available to order (£4) from our Galley and free tea and coffee will be available.
11:30 change, rig the boat, eat the pastie, ready to launch at 12:00. Transit out to sea where we will stage a series of gates starts and single lap races to put the theory into practice. Head for shore by 15:00, put the boats to bed, change ready for debrief at 16:00, wrap up at 16:30 when the bar will be open for well needed refreshment.

Bar and Restaurant

Friday 21st - evening, the club Restaurant will be open and the club bar open from 16:30 for table service.

Saturday 22nd - The downstairs galley kitchen will be open from 08:30 to 10:30preparing large bacon baps at £2.50 plus tea/ coffee at 50p with free refills provided you retain your cup!

On return to shore there will be free squash and cake available whilst we wait for the bar to open!
17:00 Main Bar open with first drink (pint Otter/medium wine/soft drink) at £1.00 with ‘Otter Token’, given out by Beach Master in exchange for ‘Tally Band’ on return to shore.
