Extended Gooseneck consensus

Hello All,

Having bent my mast I have to replace it.

Having heard about an extended gooseneck I was wondering if there is any positive consensus for adopting it.

Or has Hartleys chosen to include the extended gooseneck on all new masts as standard?

Hi Dana,

I believe the so-called 'heavy-duty gooseneck' is a £50 option. I've only sailed with it, so can't compare with the 'standard' one, but I've been told the sail sets better with the 'heavy-duty' one. I would certainly prefer Hartley offer it as standard rather than an option.
