Dagger board tape

Just wondered if anyone else has had a problem with the self adhesive tape that stops the dagger board from excessive lateral movement in the slot. I lost some tape fairly soon after the boat was delivered and have just lost another piece (bottom of the slot) - presumably removed by the dagger board being lowered. I have asked Hartley for help but wondering if anyone has experienced/fixed the problem. Tim 1314

I had a very similar problem a couple of years ago when my new boat arrived (1288). At the time Hartleys said that they had been supplied with a faulty batch of tape and sent me some to replace it which was fine but not easy to remove the old glue from the original installation. The replacement strips which I fitted are still there having been used more or less every weekend.
