Measurement

Postby Richard007 » Sat Nov 12, 2022 10:40 am

Hi I'm thinking of buying a Supernova. Having read about the boat I cannot find any information about measurement certificates. Dose the class have certificates?
Thanks

Hi Richard,

The Class doesn't have measurement certificates as such, but we do have Builder's Certificates supplied by Hartley Boats Ltd (supplied with a new boat). You might have a problem with older Giles boats though as I don't think these came with certificates.

Hope that helps. Do you have an idea of what age of Supernova you are looking for (depends on budget of course).

Thanks for your reply. I suspected that might be the case. Having not sailed one and not looking to spend to much. Seems kneeling in light conditions could be painful. I am going to be looking for a late number Mk 1. I had not seen a Supernova before the start of the year then a new member turned up with an early Mk 2. Impressed.
