I have just purchased Polaris 509 and would like to find Year of Manufacture, is there a quick way to find this information. Many Thanks Paul @ Portland

Hi Paul, 509 was originally owned by Simon Robins who I have e-mailed to ask him to respond. He is now sailing Polaris 4!

Sorry i can't help with this.

I sold the boat to Alex Claperton (?) at lilliput, and i believe all the documents went with 509?

I bought 509 off a guy at Hayling island, who i believe brought it from Giles new?

509 served me well as an intro to novas, currently on my fourth!

My previous boat SN491 was manufactured in 2000 so I guess yours will probably either 2000 or 2001.

I gave Paul the documents, including the handbook, but we couldn't find the age anywhere. Does anyone else have one with the age evident?

check under the stern stbd side on hull - 2 inches below gunnell - there should be a serial number / sail number / year of making ...

My serial number does not have an obvious year in it. It is GB-GPRS536XL101.
Maybe its 2001 (from the last digits "01"). Anyone know for sure ?
