The Supernova Class Association is pleased to announce a welcome return to Mayflower Sailing club in Plymouth for the 2009 Supernova Class National Championships to be held on Friday 3rd July, Saturday 4th July and Sunday 5th July.
This years event is even more special with generous sponsorship from the private bank "EFG Private Bank" the UK arm of the international private banking group EFG international. This means that entry for the first 50 boats is a fantastic £40 including a polo shirt!!!! - what a bargain! In addition the sponsorship means some great prizes and some smart Nationals polo shirts!
The Mayflower Sailing club is located just up from the Barbican (walking distance) and just before going up onto the Hoe. The club is situated on the pier and has a fantastic view of the Cattewater and also Jennycliffe bay which is out in the Sound. If you are looking to go and watch the sailing then you can walk up onto the Hoe to a great spot about two minutes away from the club. The club has a large car park next to the club which is where the boats are to be stored for the Championship. It is believed that the car park will be closed off for public access during the event.
Those who attended the Nationals held at the Mayflower in 2007 will remember the great sailing out in the Sound in a variety of conditions (!) and the superb hospitality and location of the club.
The entry fees are as follows:
- Entry through this site up to 1st July - £60 with £20 discount for the 1st 50 boats to enter - that's £40 to enter the Nationals.
