Event: Supernova Open (Members Only)

Time of Briefing: 10.30am

Details:
This training day is intended as a Supernova Improvers Day with Mike Gibson running the day, ably assisted by Richard Pakes.
Why are other boats faster than me on the beat?
How do I improve off wind speed?
Why do I lose three boat lengths at the mark compared to the boat in front?
How can I tack and gybe without stopping?
Why am I always in the wrong place at the start?
Want to know the answer to these and others questions? Then why not come along to the Supernova Class association Training Day on Saturday 21 st April 2007 at Haversham Sailing Club. A number of the best Supernova Helms will be there to pass on their experience and answer your queries. Generally the topics covered are tacking, gybing, beating and trim, followed by a session on the water. After lunch more training and a further session on the water. Once all the boats are away we finish with a general question and answer session. Please arrive so that you can be rigged, but not changed, by 10.30am. Bacon butties will be available on arrival and hot drinks will be available all day. Consumption of Bulmer's, Marston's or Carlsberg's best is optional!
