Details:

What’s the best rig tension and how much mast rake should I use?

How do I go faster on the beat and improve off wind speed?

What does that rig tension thingy do and why is the cunningham so important?

How can I sail better in strong winds and not just survive?

Want to know the answer to these and others questions why not come along to the Supernova Class association Training Day on Saturday 22nd April 2006 at West Oxon Sailing Club. A number of the best Supernova Helms will be there to pass on their experience and answer your queries. Generally the topics covered are rigging, sail controls, beating and trim followed by a session on the water. After lunch more training and a further session on the water. Once all the boats are away we finish with a general question and answer session. Please arrive so that you can be rigged by 10.30am. Hot drinks and snacks will be available but please bring your own lunch.

If you are coming to this event please email David Everett so that we get an indication of numbers.

Directions:

The club is 3 miles SE of Witney. From the A40 Oxford to Cheltenham road turn south at Witney on to the A415 (towards Abingdon). Follow this road for 2½ miles then turn left onto the B4449 (Stanton Harcourt). The club is 1 mile further on the right (signposted), just before the road bends to the left. If you come to a roundabout you’ve gone to far!
