Yes, it’s just round the corner from Cotswold SC. For those of you have haven’t sailed at South Cerney before, the lake is an island-free expanse of about 110 acres. The brand new clubhouse has excellent views over the majority of the sailing area, so is ideal for spectators and sailors alike. You will find a very friendly welcome, with lots of good food, and drink!
Food will be available
Accomadation:
Informal camping is available at the club, or for those who are not so hardy, the Eliot Arms in South Cerney village is a short walk away. (but make sure you book in advance!) About 4 miles away is Cirencester which has many guest houses, or The Horse and Groom can provide “lodge style” accommodation, which is approximately 1 mile away adjacent to the A419 (01285 860236)
Directions:
The club is located on lake 16 in the Cotswold Water Park, approx 1 ¼ miles from the A419 Swindon to Cirencester road. Exit the A419 at the Spine Road junction, following the brown “Cotswold Water Park” signs. Continue to the first cross-roads, and turn right towards South Cerney. (you would turn left here for Cotswold SC) Take the second entrance on the left into the sailing club grounds. Come through the club gates, where parking is permitted in the car park on the left hand side.
