Details:
Oxford SC (not to be confused with West Oxfordshire SC) is located in the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside at Farmoor reservoir. Farmoor is quite a large sailing lake and so promises larger courses. This meeting is always very popular.
Club Notice:
We look forward to seeing you at Oxford Sailing Club. While you are sailing here you are an honorary member of the club and are bound by its rules. You should take particular note of the following, as contravention risks disqualification from the event
1. No animals are allowed on the site.
2.Vehicles and road trailers must be parked in the designated car park.
3. No one may stay overnight on the site. Vehicles may
not be left on the site overnight.
4. Paddling and swimming in the reservoir is not allowed.
5. Boats shall keep clear of all Thames Water fixtures and installations and must remain at least 20 metres from fishermen and fishing boats which may be regarded as obstructions to sea room.
6. Adequate personal buoyancy must be worn at all times whilst afloat or on the pontoon, and if of the inflatable type must be sufficiently inflated to support the wearer.
7. All boats shall have insurance cover with a minimum £1,000,000 third party indemnity.
Directions:
Oxford Sailing Club is located on a large reservoir to the west of Oxford between the villages of Cumnor and Farmoor. It is easily reached from major routes: A34, M40, A420 and the A40 and is shown on most road maps.
