       Advanced Booking for the Supernova National Championships 2005

Porthpean is a delightful Cornish village located close to St Austell. It is easily accessible from the North via M5; A30 (top of Dartmoor) or A38 through Plymouth. The event has been arranged to start on the Friday at midday allowing time to travel early on Friday if you are unable to travel on the Thursday evening. Although outside the main holiday season, allow time for hold-ups we want you on the start line.

• Porthpean Sailing Club is located on the beach, it has an excellent website which is accessed easily through Yachts & Yachting site then Clubs, select Cornwall map and then Porthpean S.C.
• There is plenty of choice of accommodation in this area from camping or caravans to cottages, hotels or bed & breakfast. St Austell tourist information tel: 08704450244. Fowey is nearby, tourist information tel:01726833616
• Sailing instructions are included with dates and times of event; briefing and race times:
• There are attractions for non-sailors, such as the “Eden Project” and the “Gardens of Heligan” Fowey, Mevagissey, St Austell and Charlestown with its’square riggers to view and museums are all close to the Sailing Club.
• Social activities at Club Friday night – buffet meal included.

Saturday night – rock band and bar-b-q included.

Sunday – buffet included, prize giving and farewells to host Club:

• Request for advanced payment of entry fee. This will provide the host club with accurate numbers, so that adequate numbers of officers for the Race Committee and safety boats on the sea can be arranged. It is also essential to know numbers for catering purposes.
• Entry fees - include entry for National Championships; Friday evening buffet; Saturday bar-b-q and rock band; and buffet on Sunday at the end of the Championships.

The fee for advanced payment is £45+ £10 per non-sailor which must be received by the 21 st May 2005. Payment should be may be made by cheque to “Supernova Class Association” addressed to:- Dave Watton 24, Longfellow Road, Worcester, WR3 8DZ

A list of advanced entries will be posted on the website to eliminate the need for receipts. You will also be able to check if your buddies from the other end of the country are going to the event.

The fee for late entry (22 nd May or later) is £55 + £15 per non-sailor and may be paid as above for advanced entry or at the event.

• Entry forms will be required to be completed at the event.
• Notice of race is included with the sailing instructions.
• Boats can be dropped off at the Club from midday Thursday 16 th June, directions will be posted outside the Clubhouse. The Club will not accept responsibility for security of your boat, so lock or chain round it.
