Bowmoor SC hosted a Class Training day today (free to members). 17 Supernova sailors attended (with 4 lady sailors). Winds were light (ideal for some) giving all a challenge in roll tacking and gybing. Ross Harvey from Hayling Island led the day with some training tuition on gybing (maintaining your speed), effective body positioning, and downwind tactics approaching leeward marks. On the water time consolidated the learning with video feedback. The wind died back by mid afternoon allowing more tuition on approaching marks and clarifying the rules. Many thanks to Bowmoor for the use of their excellent facilities, Ross Harvey and especially to all those attending. Well worth the time as you always learn a thing or two.
