Toe Strap Adjuster

It was 1996 and two men sat over a bottle of wine: two men in perfect agreement about what they really disliked about the all the single-handers they could think of.
After they had had a good moan, one said to the other 'Let's build something better', and so they did. One was Frank Puranik, our association president, and the other was Mark Giles, our designer and original builder.
What he came up with was a fast self-draining hull, with a wide flat after section, which is stable and lifts onto the plane so smoothly you hardly know it. He put a powerful rig on it, with a fully battened Mylar sail which gives exhilarating acceleration, but will depower easily, so that helms from 60 to 90 kilos can compete on equal terms.
And he made everything work properly. The high boom clears the daggerboard when it is up - and usually your head. The sail controls are just where you want them. And if you capsize the sealed mast gives you time to get her up before she inverts.
And lastly, we built Supernova to the highest standards, with excellent equipment.
Read the spec. Come to a demo. Visit the clubs where Supernovas are sailing.

Then come and play!
